NEWS: Chroma announce second album ’25 Forever’ & Share visceral single ‘Straight Men’

CHROMA have returned with news of their second album, 25 Forever, on 17th April 2026 via Alcopop! Records. Preorder from 22nd January 2026 – https://ilovealcopop.co.uk/

Commenting on the new record, vocalist KT Hall says: “25 Forever is a collection of songs navigating themes of love, loss, heartbreak, friendships and resilience—it reflects on coming of age in a turbulent time for the world, looking inward, and finding yourself when things seem bleak.”

To celebrate the news, the band have shared the visceral lead single ‘Straight Men’ . Rife with an assault of visceral and caustic riffing and drum hits, while Hall is spoiling for a fight hollering with a fearsome combination of disdain, anger and fear. Channelling negative feelings and experiences that Hall had throughout her teens and adulthood at the hands of adult males who knew better.

I’m taking about sexual harassment. I’m talking about intimidation,” she explains, “I’m talking about the ‘manosphere’ and how young men today are being radicalised by influencers such as Andrew Tate. I’m talking about the crisis of violence against women and young girls in the UK and the world.”

On ‘Straight Men’, CHROMA are asking men to have a word with other men about their behaviour—if you sit by while your friend is being intimidating and outright inappropriate, you’re complicit in their behaviour. Call it out.

When we started writing ‘Straight Men’, it all started as a bit of a laugh in all honesty,” continues Hall. “I have a group of gay men outside a nightclub to thank for the hook ‘I’m really fucking scared of straight men’. It stuck with me for a while as I couldn’t quite shake it off. I think about the term ‘straight men’ and the feelings that arise, and how we really need to do better to achieve a shift in culture and change the universal experience that too many people face each day.”

That said, I’m grateful to have some amazing men in my life who have kept me safe and are so supportive. I grew up with two older brothers who always have my back no matter what. Additionally bandmates Zac and Liam, our manager, Jim, and Jack at Alcopop! Records. Of course I’m lucky to have my incredible partner, Connor too. The straight men I have in my life are lush.”

Just announced for FOCUS Wales 2026, CHROMA are pleased to announce a run of April 2026 UK headline tour dates, and will be revealing further live dates and new music over the coming weeks.

Two years on from the release of the 2024 Welsh Music Prize nominated debut album, Ask For Angela, South Wales’ CHROMA announced their return last autumn with new single ‘Riverhouse’, which garnered Radio Wales A List and BBC 6Music support, racking up over 400 worldwide radio plays in just 60 days.

Rounding last year off with recent live dates alongside PINS, CHROMA teased the new single to grassroots gig-goers on their October 2025 Music Venue Trust Grassroots Venues Tour with BILK. The tour was the first to be funded by Music Venue Trust’s Liveline Fund, a fund that primarily focuses on strengthening the future viability of the UK Grassroots Music ecosystem.
