GRAPE, a supergroup which includes members of alt-J, Gang of Youths and Tellison have released an original Christmas song, ‘It’s All Right (It’s Christmas),’ via Bandcamp in aid of the homeless charity St Mungo’s. The song tells the story of a character, Luis, whose relationship breaks down at Christmas but is offered shelter by an old friend. Gus Unger-Hamilton – also a member of alt-J and a St Mungo’s ambassador – said: “I am extremely proud to be an ambassador for St Mungo’s and, as Londoners, we in GRAPE all feel an acute desire to help people sleeping rough as much as we can. With this song’s lyrical themes of a difficult life in the process of being rebuilt at Christmas, it felt like a no-brainer to release this song in support of the charity.” The song is priced at £1.50 with the option to pay more.

it’s a stunning, soul bearing, warm and soaring song for a great cause and deserves to be up there in the highest echelons of All time great Xmas songs. Delicate buoyant, sweeping and hopeful, it’s the perfect Christmas track

The vinyl will feature an exclusive B-side not available anywhere else. 100% of sales proceeds will go to St Mungo’s.GRAPE have released two previous singles through State 51, No Change and Fool, the latter being a double A-side vinyl release which quickly sold out.
