Lounge lizard singer Cosmic Crooner this week hits the UK for his first headline tour.
The Crooner, Amsterdam-based musician Joep Meyer is a self-confessed music snob as you may recall and latest album European Vacation released early this summer finds our hero a somewhat lovelorn state of mind, skilfully weaving classic melancholy with his trademark cinematic swoon-worthy serenades. The record a follow-up to 2023’sThe Perks of Being A Hypocrite is absolutely gorgeous, and sophistication itself with a bossa nova rendezvous on ‘The Balcony’, the slick ‘Mosquito in the Photo Booth’, the broken heart of ‘Rebeccula‘, the pop-driven ‘Lennon DJ’, and tearjerker ‘In Love’.
Last year, the Crooner opened for Mattiel but this week he’s out in front for a handful of dates with full band. To celebrate he went on a mysterious adventure with Italian singer and songwriter Angelica on ‘Don’t Worry It’s Only A Movie’.

5 October – London The Grace
