Dublin-based sextet, Child Of Prague, today announce new EP ‘Clothed In The Sun’, set for release 19th September via Faction Music. Giving us a glimpse of the EP, they have shared single, ‘Burning’ alongside an evocative video. The band will tour later this month. See dates below.
Child Of Prague say: “Burning came about as a little thank you note to someone who showed me a lot of care when I was struggling with my health at one point. There is a loneliness to it, and the production really intensifies that.”
With ethereal harmonies, metallic melancholic riffs and deep resonant, introspective lyrics, this is a spine tingling, bone-deep track. It’s a thing of pensive, breath-taking beauty.
Reflecting on childhood, adoration, connection; Clothed In The Sun represents a point of tension between reminiscing and moving forward. Child of Prague thrives on collaboration; each player coming from a distinct musical background, allowing for the songs to evolve uniquely and combine strong guitar-led melodies with the mellow timbre of the violin and saxophone.

The band fuse chamber pop instrumentation with a love of Irish traditional music, and pull inspiration from folk, Irish trad, jazz, classical and math rock genres, as well as numerous artists ranging from Lisa Hannigan to Chicago. We can’t wait to hear more.
