When: 29th – 31st May 2025
Where: Euston Hall, Suffolk, England
The new outdoor music festival season begins in earnest a fortnight today when Euston Hall opens its magnificent grounds for the 11th edition of Red Rooster, the annual celebration of Cajun, soul, rock’n’roll, blues, roots, and country music.
Once again, Red Rooster has put together an excellent programme of music. Topping this year’s bill is the superb Oklahoma singer-songwriter, guitarist, and retro rock’n’roller JD McPherson, who will be playing his first UK shows in seven years; the outstanding American blues guitarist Samantha Fish; and Canada’s rock’n’roll revivalists and Juno Award-winning band The Sheepdogs.

A very strong undercard includes such great names as one of the most popular bands on the SoCal soul scene, Thee Sinseers; astounding blues musician Jerron Paxton; the southeast Los Angeles’ soul-rock band The Altons; the raw psychedelic southern rock of DeWolff; English rock and soul stalwarts, Danny & The Champions of the World; and the English country pop singer-songwriter, Twinnie.
Other top names who will be appearing at this year’s event include country-folk singer Willi Carlisle; Grammy-nominated bluesman Jontavious Willis; country-bluesman Early James; two-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Gill Landry; Red Rooster favourite Alan Tyler Show; blending gypsy jazz, blues, and honky tonk, will be Savannah Gardner & the Recovering Good Girls; and the 19 year old three time winner of Young Blues Artist of the Year, Toby Lee.
Red Rooster’s Howlin’ Woods will offer some fantastic party DJ sets with Hot Pants DJ’s, Rocky & Ross Allen, DJ Lil’ Koko, Las Titis, Dean Chalkley & Myia Marina, Hank JD Sleek’s Honky Tonk & Dance Hall, Wendy May, Andrew Hackett, and DJ Dam Muddy.

But Red Rooster is not just about music, as there is a wide range of activities and experiences for people of all ages taking place over the three days of the festival. These include celebrity survival expert Will Lord presenting his Prehistoric Experiences, river swimming, swan pedalos to hire on the estate’s impressive lake and broadwater, kids’ cinema and Mardi-Gras Parades, dance lessons, a croquet lawn, and football tables.
Red Rooster is well known for its high-calibre food offerings from some of the UK’s top and award winning street food traders and this year will see Bayou returning with their Cajun bowls; The Mac Factory bringing gourmet Mac n’ Cheese; The BBQ Department will be firing up ribs, brisket, and more; Philly cheesesteaks will be available from The Griddle Guys; burritos from Deadgood; grilled cheese from Mac Daddy; and breakfast from Duck Shed.
And Red Rooster’s Long Table Banquets are back for 2025, this time bringing an all-out American feast. Think 10-hour Oak Smoked Brisket, Cherry Smoked Baby Back Ribs, Jalapeño & Cheese Hot Link Sausages, plus vegan delights like Jambalaya Rice & Mexican Mushroom Burgers.
Red Rooster has also announced details of a new partnership with BRUHA Brewing, an independent Suffolk-based brewery who craft top-tier cask and keg beers from the finest East Anglian malted barley.
