Audioslave - Doesn't Remind Me

At last, Audioslave have fulfilled their potential as a band far greater than either Soundgarden or Rage Against The Machine, their musical forefathers. 'Doesn't Remind Me' is without doubt their most worthwhile single to date. Sliced into three distinct pieces, the opening bars are driven by bluesy acoustic strumming, before a major storm of powerchords rains down for the chorus. “I like breaking guitars”, sings Chris Cornell, in a lyric strangely similar to 'My Favourite Things' from 'The Sound of Music'. This epic masterpiece draws to a close with a sharp, bitter guitar solo, evocative of a clear cold night on a desolate highway. Astounding!
