The Temper Trap - Fader

The Temper Trap had a dream of a year in 2009, with 'Sweet Disposition' undoubtedly one of the hits of the year, and with the Aussie four piece quickly becoming one of the 'must see' festival acts over the summer.

It seems they are set on continuing in this successful fashion in 2010 with super radio friendly new single 'Fader'. Their second release from debut album, 'Conditions', has a more poppy feel than the lead single, full of 'woohs' and thumping drums. I have no idea what it's on about but it's got me tapping my feet to its danceable beats and simple melodies.

They're not breaking any musical boundaries here, they're unashamedly trying to create good pop/rock music, and I'll be damned if I say they haven't achieved their goal. It's simple enough but it works quite well and is worth a few plays, though probably several more during prime time.

The band begins a 14-date tour on the 27th April, but be quick as the London shows are already sold out.
