The Carletons - EP

Clearly cut from the same cloth as many other post-Arctic Monkeys acts this four track EP has short, shouty, scrappy songs with all the usual hooks, drum-rolls and pop-punkish ideas that have drowned the market of late. Time and Time Again stands out here as a genuinely fun and well put together track, but something like Stop Now feels lazy and crafted by cookie cutter.

Though there's a lot of noise, verve, energy over this generally well-produced EP, there's very little to set it apart from the Noah's Ark of similar acts out there.
