Setting out to rival the goliath 02 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park and the smaller, indie/dance/electro oriented festival that is Victoria Park's Lovebox Weekender, Get Loaded in the Park taking place on the 24th of August it features some of today's best up and coming bands and some of yesteryear's best loved rock legends to boot. Iggy Pop and The Stooges will headline the mainstage at Clapham Common's leading music festival with Gogol Bordello, Supergrass and The Hives also gracing the stage.

This year marks the 10th Anniversarry of Finger Lickin' Records, a record company that has gradually become the UK's leading breakbeat label. Having released material by Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong and Sasha the label now deals with some of today's best new talent in the breakbeat and drum 'n' bass genre including Finger Lickin' Stage headliners at this year's Get Loaded, Plump DJ's, DJ Yoda and Krafty Kuts.

The two remaining stages at this year's festival are the Time Out Together Arena with The Gossip, Soulwax and Mylo all headlining and the XFM Arena playing host to Kate Nash, Reverend and the Makers and The Maccabees. Wearing his Rolex, grime star of the moment Wiley will also be playing the XFM stage this year.

Get Loaded in the Park differs from the other festivals on offer for a couple of vital reasons. Firstly it's a one day event meaning there's no camping, no port-a-loos are necessary. On Sunday 24th August the 20+ acts will all play on Clapham Common. Secondly, the ticket price is a mere Ł35.00 and this year is made even more special by the fact that Get Loaded' is Iggy and The Stooges' only UK date still available and on sale.

One of the new acts looking to make their mark at this year's Get Loaded are Ipso Facto, a four-piece, all-female “melodramatic-pop” group from London who are not only looking forward to playing the festival but looking forward to seeing “Iggy Pop” live, also “the Hives are amazing live - I crowd surfed at a gig of theirs once, maybe I'll do the same at Get Loaded.” The ever-green Supergrass on the other hand look are simply can't wait to test drive their new bus which has according to the lads has “Seats…and an engine…and an inside toilet”, luxuries their last tour bus didn't have!
