dEUS - Eternal Woman

One of the most subtle singles I've heard in a long while, Eternal Woman by longstanding Belgian rockers dEUS bobs along fairly pleasantly and inconspicuously. So inconspicuous is it that it takes a good few plays to notice that there is actually some form of chorus. Acoustic guitars and hidden strings pluck along gently, seductive female vocals whisper coolly, and in an all too quiet moment, it's gone. Not the best serving point for an introduction to the band, since on investigation it seems late '90s era dEUS had some bolder and more evident use of tune. Perhaps this new release will please the faithful fan, though. The album Vantage Point is already out.

Released September 8th, 2008.
